Yasin Ahmed – Bloomfield, CT
Yasin speaking
Ustadh Yasin Ahmed has spent the better part of a decade working in the central Jersey community with a special focus on young people.  I have organized and coordinated several grass roots youth groups including YM.  In the past few years, I have marketed Nakhlah Institute, where I also learned under Shaykh Abdur Rahman, as well as other local scholars (http://www.nakhlahusa.org/).

Currently, I am an MA in Christian-Islamic Studies and Graduate Certificate in Chaplaincy candidate at Hartford Seminary.  I am also the High School Islamic Studies and gym teacher at Madina Academy in Windsor, Connecticut. I have been a regular khateeb at mosques and colleges in the North East. I am a public servant.  My goals are to spread the tranquil message of the Prophet SAW, root confidence in our Muslim identity, and to be a sounding board for as many people as possible.  Having studied Islam traditionally and academically, having gone to public school and now teaching at an Islamic School, and being a child of immigrants born in America; I understand figuring it out alone can be frustrating but together inshAllah we can cope with and overcome life’s greatest obstacles!
